About Us
Sleep Asia was conceived with the objective of providing continuing training on Sleep Disorders for Sleep Professionals, Allied healthcare workers and Physicians in Asia Pacific. Sleep Asia is a licensed consulting and training facility based in Singapore with a primary focus on elevating the level and availability of learning tools for the more than 367 Registered Sleep Technologists (RPSGTs) in Asia Pacific as well as the many more physicians, sleep lab owners and technicians starting out in this field. Sleep Asia is owned and operated by well-known credentialed RPSGTs with over 30 years of combined experience in this field. Our staff are familiar with the latest software and hardware technologies on the market.
Having worked in nearly all facets of the Sleep Disorders profession our directors have also been recognized for their role in obtaining, through the Australian Sleep Association (ASA), the very first accreditation of a Sleep Laboratory in Asia for one of Singapore’s largest women and children’s hospitals. Additionally, through this type of training, our directors were responsible for the training and preparation of the very first Registered Polysomnographic Sleep Technologist (RPSGT) in the People’s Republic of China, Republic of Indonesia, as well as Pakistan.
With Sleep Disorder Medicine in Asia still in its infancy stage, Sleep Asia’s critical mission is to assist and protect this field by providing the highest quality training available throughout Asia. Furthermore, we will look to ensure that proper standards are in place for entry level sleep technicians through to advanced RPSGTs. Sleep Asia provides pre-set curriculum courses in Polysomnography and Sleep Disorders with continuing education credits (CECs) as well as tailored courses based on clinic or country-specific needs and requirements. Sleep Asia also offers consulting services for physicians or investors looking to establish sleep labs in Asia and to established sleep labs to ensure they meet the standards recommended by international bodies such as the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM), the Australian Sleep Academy (ASA), The Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand (TSANZ), the American Association of Sleep Technologists (AAST) and others.
